I built up my whole world in Claude Code, but I’m committed to making Rebel my main working space— saving Claude Code only for deeper agentic work. But I kept running into this thing where a skill I built in one wasn’t showing up in the other. Two environments, two sets of skills, constant “wait, which one has the latest version?”
Fixed it in one conversation in Rebel. Here’s the simplest version of what I did:
One folder. Everything — skills, working notes, memory — moved into the Rebel workspace.
Symlinks do the syncing. Claude Code’s skills path now points directly into
Chief-of-Staff/skills/. Rebel writes a skill there, Claude Code sees it instantly. Claude Code builds a skill there, Rebel sees it instantly. Same physical file. No sync step.
GitHub backs it up. One private repo, one Rebel automation that pushes at 2am every night.
If you want Rebel to do this for you, copy this post and drop it in a new conversation. Rebel will walk you through the whole thing and do most of the work.
