Zendesk connector: support OAuth / per-user auth so non-admin agents can connect

Hey team :waving_hand:

Love what Rebel can do with the Zendesk connector; as an admin I use it daily. But we’ve hit a wall trying to roll it out to our support agents, and I’d love to see this addressed as a feature.

The problem: The Zendesk connector currently authenticates via email + API token. In Zendesk, API token generation is restricted to admins only; individual agents have no way to create their own tokens. This means only admins can connect Rebel to Zendesk, which limits the value significantly.

What we’d love to see: Support for per-user OAuth authentication on the Zendesk connector. Zendesk has a full OAuth 2.0 flow that authenticates as the individual user and scopes access to their role permissions; so an agent connecting via OAuth would only see what they see in Zendesk itself.

Why this matters: The use case that would unlock for us (and probably other teams) is huge:

Agent opens Rebel, asks “summarise ticket #12345 and help me draft a reply”
Rebel fetches the ticket, summarises it, suggests a response
Agent reviews → Rebel creates a follow-up task in Asana and posts it
Right now, none of our ~15 support agents can do this because they can’t authenticate. The admin workaround (sharing admin credentials or a shared API token) is a non-starter for security reasons.

Ask: Add an OAuth authentication option to the Zendesk connector — ideally as an alternative to the existing API token method, so admins can keep using tokens and agents can use OAuth.

Would love to know if this is on the roadmap or if there’s a workaround I’ve missed. Thanks! :folded_hands:
